PP granules

Polypropylene, abbreviated as PP, is a polymer made from propylene by polymerization reaction. It is a white waxy material, transparent and light in appearance. Chemical formula (C3H6)n, density 0.89 ~ 0.91g/cm3, flammable, melting point of 164 ~ 170 ° C, in 155 ° C or so softened, the use of temperature range of -30 ~ 140 ° C . Below 80 ℃ can be resistant to acids, alkalis, salts and a variety of organic solvents corrosion, can be decomposed at high temperatures and oxidation. Polypropylene is a thermoplastic synthetic resin with excellent performance, it is a colorless semi-transparent thermoplastic lightweight general-purpose plastic with chemical resistance, heat resistance, electrical insulation, high strength mechanical properties and good abrasion-resistant processing performance, etc. It is widely used in the production of garments, blankets and other fibrous products, medical devices, automobiles, bicycles, parts, pipelines, chemical containers, etc., and is also used in the packaging of food and drugs.

PP (polypropylene) crystallization is the main cause of opacity, the use of rapid cooling to freeze the crystallization tendency of PP, you can get a transparent film, but there is a certain wall thickness of the product, because the heat conduction needs time, the core layer is not likely to be rapidly frozen by the cooling, so for a certain thickness of the product can not be expected to improve the transparency of the approach to the rapid cooling, we must start from the crystallization of the PP law and the factors affecting it.

Modified PP obtained by certain technical means, can have excellent transparency and surface gloss, and can even be comparable with typical transparent plastics (such as PET, PVC, PS, etc.). Transparent PP is even more superior is the heat distortion temperature is high, generally can be higher than 110 ℃, and some even up to 135 ℃, while the heat distortion temperature of the above three transparent plastics are lower than 90 ℃. Because of the obvious performance advantages of transparent PP, in recent years in the world have been able to develop rapidly, the application areas from household goods to medical equipment, from packaging supplies to heat-resistant utensils (microwave heating), are in large quantities.
